Brunswick family displaced after fire
BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A family of three has been displaced after a fire burned their home this afternoon.
Glynn County firefighters responded to a call at 12 Magnolia St. in Brunswick. No one was home when the fire broke out.
According to the woman who lives there, a neighbor saw the fire and called 911. The neighbor tried to put the fire out with a garden hose before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters say one bedroom had major damage and smoke filled the rest of the house. The home must be cleaned and smoke damage removed before the family can return.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the family. This is the second Glynn County family displaced by fire this week.
