BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A Glynn County woman was convicted Monday in her husband's shooting death.

Frederika W. Blasko, 63, of Brunswick, pleaded guilty to charges of voluntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Blasko's charges stemmed from an Aug. 10, 2011 incident which resulted in the shooting death of 62-year-old Anthony Blasko in their home on Tarpon Drive.

Superior Court Judge Roger Lane sentenced Blasko's to 25 years, with the first 10 years to be served in prison and the remaining 15 years to be served on probation with the condition of mental health treatment. The state and defense submitted psychological evaluations by a forensic psychologist and a neuropsychologist.

Anthony Blasko's family was present at the hearing and expressed their support for the plea.
