DCF not getting involved in school bus fall
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Department of Children & Families says it's not getting involved in the case of a boy who fell from the back of a school bus.
DCF spokesman John Harrell tells Action News the case does not involve abuse or neglect by the child's caregiver, therefore the agency will not get involved.
Ian Flores, 11, fell out of the rear door of a school bus and hit his head on the pavement near University Boulevard and Cruz Road. The Holiday Hill Elementary School student suffered critical injuries.
