JSO investigating death of man evacuated from a boat
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man after he was evacuated by the Coast Guard from a fishing boat.
A Coast Guard spokesperson says they received a call around 11 a.m. of a 52-year-old man that was passed out on the fishing boat three miles off the coast of the Nassau Sound.
A rescue boat transported the man to the Coast Guard station where he was pronounced deceased shortly before 1 p.m.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office homicide unit responded and said that the man died from natural causes.
