LAKE CITY, Fla. -- Two Lake City men were arrested this month for burglary of up to $5,000 worth of stolen computer merchandise.

They were arrested December 10 for sexually harassing two women working in the shoe department at the Lake City Mall, and aggressively threatening the store manager. The catch, these men were guilty of a lot more.

When police approached brothers Sean and Jeffrey Lewis, Sean turned and ran, leaving a backpack at the scene. Jeffrey did not flee. Police found several laptops and an iPad in the backpack.

In a seemingly unrelated story on December 4, unknown persons burglarized the business and units at Morse Chiropractic. The thieves stole computer equipment valued at over $5,000. They also discharged fire extinguishers, kicked in several locked doors and destroyed several computer monitors.

On December 7, an officer met with the evidence technician and noticed that the items being processed looked similar to the items stolen from Morse Chiropractic. After checking the serial numbers, officers learned these were the stolen items.

Further investigation found Sean and Jeffrey Lewis broke into Morse Chiropractic, vandalized the interior, damaged parts of the building and stole several computers, a Garmin running watch, and an iPad.  Both men were charged with burglary to a dwelling, criminal mischief, dealing in stolen property and larceny.
