Man arrested on Jacksonville Beach sex offense

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- A man was arrested after a teenage boy said the man offered him sex.

Police say the incident happened Feb. 8 at the Pier parking lot at 503 1st St. N. in Jacksonville Beach.  A 14-year-old boy said he was walking past a maroon Chevrolet SUV when a man called out to him. The boy approached the SUV and during the conversation the suspect offered him sexual favors.

The boy quickly left the area but later saw the man drive past him, at which point he was able to get a partial tag number.

The investigation led detectives to Brian Keith Sayers, 45, in Atlantic Beach. Sayers was arrested for lewd or lascivious conduct.
