JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville man was convicted Thursday in a 2011 murder.
Antonio Garrett, 55, was convicted in the 2011 death of Jerry Ford. Garrett was found guilty of murder in the first degree and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
In September 2011, Garrett and Ford, 46, got into an argument. Garrett left and then returned with a handgun. Garrett twalked up to Ford and shot seven times - hitting Ford three times. Ford died from his injuries.
Garrett faces mandatory life in prison. Garrett will be sentenced the week of February 25.
