Navy-Marine Corps Classic canceled due to condensation on the court
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Navy-Marine Corps Classic aboard the USS Bataan was canceled due to condensation on the basketball court. Florida and Georgetown's men's basketball teams were playing aboard the ship to kickoff the college basketball season.
The game was called at 10:39 p.m. It will not count and it will not be made up.
Earlier tonight, the Ohio State vs. Marquette game on the USS Yorktown in South Carolina was canceled for the same reason. The cancellations could call into question whether these types of games will be held in the future.
