JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- No one was injured after a school bus crash on Tuesday afternoon on the Southside.

According to an FHP report, the accident happened about 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Southside Boulevard and Ivy Road.

The report stated that there were no students on the 2010 school bus driven by Matthew Charles Weed, 27, when it collided with a Chevy Silverado driven by Vincent Marcus Lee, 43, of Jacksonville.

According to the report, the bus was traveling north on Southside Boulevard in the left lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Silverado was traveling north on the Southside Boulevard service road when it made a right turn onto Ivy Road. The bus made a left turn onto Ivy and its right rear struck the left front of the truck.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and FHP says alcohol was not a factor. The 22-year-old passenger on the bus and the teenage passenger in the Silverado also were not injured.

Weed was charged with careless driving.
