JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spent several hours Thursday afternoon on the scene of a drive-by shooting in Northwest Jacksonville.
The shooting happened on Mecca Street around 3:30 p.m.
A group of males was gathered outside of a residence when shots were fired from an unknown vehicle.
One person was shot and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
JSO continues to investigate and, at this point, has not released a description of the car involved.
