PALM COAST, Fla. -- Flagler County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a man was robbed Thursday in the parking lot of a Palm Coast shopping center.

Scott Seltzer, 28, told deputies that he was in the parking lot of the Staples Plaza about 10:16 p.m. when he was struck on the head and robbed. He said the suspects took his car keys, cell phone and several hundred dollars in cash after striking him. Seltzer said two vehicles fled the parking lot and seemed to be headed toward I-95.

According to a news release, Seltzer told deputies that he was at the parking lot to meet a man that had sold him several video games earlier in the week. He said he didn't know the man's name and met him through ad on Craigslist. Seltzer said the man contacted him Thursday to ask if he was interested in purchasing more games, but this time his brother was selling them. The victim arranged to meet the man's brother.

The victim told deputies when he arrived there was a female inside the man's vehicle. He said, while he was talking to the couple, two other people, another male and female, exited a nearby vehicle with masks on their faces and came up behind him, taking his wallet, phone and cash. Seltzer said the female then struck him in the head with what he thought was a metal pipe.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1 (888) 277-TIPS.  You may remain anonymous and you could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
