JACKSONVILLE, Fl -- Another storm is headed our way and will bring showers through the day and into the evening. While rain will be widespread, amounts will not be great -- less than a half inch and in many places less than a quarter of an inch. The same storm will, however, be a major winter storm from the midwest through much of the Ohio and Tennesse Valley then into the Mid Atlantic and New England. Significant air travel delays will affect Baltimore, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis and Minneapolis.
Once this storm departs, colder air will move into Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia with highs Wednesday only in the 50s with gusty northwest winds making it feel much colder. Our next freeze threat will be Wednesday night with lows early Thursday in the 20s inland....30s near the coast.
All eyes will then shift to an end of the week storm that will produce a cold rain Friday with sleet and snow not far away in Georgia.
