JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The St. Johns River Alliance is hoping to increase the number of drivers with St. Johns River specialty license plates on the roadway through a two month promotional campaign.
Throughout the months of February and March, the alliance will refund the $25 fee through a rebate.
Around half the funds that are normally collected help fund river community outreach and access programs.
The specialty license plates are available at all Florida Department of Motorist Services locations and local tax collector's offices.
To receive reimbursement for the plate, simply mail a copy of the receipt of a new St. Johns River specialty plate to the St. Johns River Alliance, 2029 North 3rd St., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
