Stuart's Blog: Gators hope for sweet finish to Sugar Bowl
NEW ORLEANS, La. - Game day has finally arrived in the big easy as the Gators and Cardinals will meet tonight for a Sugar Bowl title. Final preparations for the game are underway and it appears as if the Florida fan base has started to arrive. It's a little chilly outside but inside the dome weather won't be an issue for either side.
Playing indoors and on an artificial turf could be beneficial for the Gators should the game come down to a late field goal. Head Coach Will Muschamp talked about how much confidence he has in senior kicker and former St. Augustine Yellow Jacket Caleb Sturgis. The Groza award finalist was looking forward to playing on a field with so much history when it comes to big kicks.

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Sugar Bowl is just over a day away in New Orleans and both the Florida Gators and Louisville Cardinals are ready to take the field. Today both head coaches met with the media one last time before game day.
Louisville's Charlie Strong spoke at length about his experience in Gainesville. The Cardinals head coach doesn't expect his history with UF to affect the matchup but is interested to see what it will be like seeing many players he recruited on the other sideline. Strong also addressed the health of his star quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, not quite calling him 100% but assuring the media that he would be in better shape than the teams season finale against Rutgers.
The Gators Will Muschamp had nothing but praise for both Strong and Bridgewater and expects the Louisville QB to provide a big challenge for his team. Muschamp was also asked about the lack of tickets sold by UF but deferred those questions to Athletic Director Jeremy Foley, insisting that he was just concerned about "third down and stuff like that". From just walking around there has been a lot more Red and Black than Orange and Blue but we'll see how it looks in the Superdome tomorrow night.
