University Boulevard reopens after gas leak

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- University Boulevard is back open after a gas leak on Tuesday afternoon.

A construction crew was laying fiber line on Tuesday along University Boulevard, between Philips Highway and I-95, when a worker hit a propane pipe about 3:30 p.m., according to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue. 

Traffic was diverted in the area until the leak was fixed.
