A couple more warm days before a cold front arrives Wed. evening.  The front will trigger showers Wed. with widespread rainfall but amounts that won't be all that heavy.  Temps. will be much cooler Thu./Fri. with some rain, especially Fri. thanks to onshore east winds, & the cold front becoming a warm front & moving back to the north.
A second & stronger storm system will move into the area late in the weekend with showers & a few t'storms.  Temps. will warm up again Sat.-Sun. in advance of the storm.

Jan. is in the "weather books".  The month was colder & wetter than avg. with an avg. temp. of 49.2 degrees - 3.9 degrees below avg.  There were 8 days when the temp. dipped below 32 degrees, the avg. is 6.  Jan. will go down as the 15th coldest on record (since 1871).  The 6.97" of rain was 3.67" above avg., the 6th wettest on record.  Some other rainfall reports from our Jax N.W.S.:
