NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have landed in New Orleans for Friday’s second preseason game of 2012.

The Jags and Saints will kickoff at 7 p.m. (Eastern) on CBS47 from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Jags continue to unveil their new look as first round draft pick Justin Blackmon will make his much anticipated NFL debut. Head coach Mike Mularkey plans on playing the wide receiver for the entire first half along with the rest of the first team offense.

Blaine Gabbert hopes to show more progress after a successful beginning to his second year last Friday night. Gabbert had 102.9 passer rating and led the Jags to a touchdown drive on the first possession of the game.

The Jaguars continue to have a beat up offensive line. Eugene Monroe left practice on Wednesday after getting hit in the head. He did make the trip to New Orleans but there is no official word if the left tackle will play.

The Jags plan on playing Tyson Alualu for 8-10 snaps and likely will not play cornerback Rashean Mathis. Both players are healthy but coming back from offseason surgery.

Stay tuned to Action News for updates from New Orleans. We’ll have an interview from the team hotel with wide receiver Laurent Robinson. You can also follow us on twitter @actionsports360.
