Jags sign cornerback Curtis Holcomb to practice squad.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Cornerback Curtis Holcomb is now part of the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad.
This is the second year Holcomb has been in the NFL.
Holcomb was a seventh-round draft pick of San Francisco in 2011.
Holcomb suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon at the start of last year's training camp, and was sidelined for the season.
He was waived by the 49ers on August 9, 2012.
The Miami, Florida native was a four-time team captain at Florida A&M where he played in 45 games and totaled 12 interceptions.
Holcomb will wear jersey number 40.
