Kaepernick leads 49ers over Jags 42-10 in London

LONDON (AP) -- Colin Kaepernick ran and threw his way to victory Sunday, leading the San Francisco 49ers over the Jacksonville Jaguars 42-10 at Wembley Stadium.

Kaepernick threw for 164 yards and one touchdown, and ran for 54 yards and two touchdowns. Frank Gore also ran for two scores.

The 49ers improved to 6-2 with the win, their fifth in a row, while the Jaguars remained winless at 0-8.

It was the eighth regular-season NFL game at Wembley, the home of England's national soccer team, and the second this year. The Minnesota Vikings beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-27 last month.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- The Jaguars closed out the first half of the season in about the same manner as every other game, losing to the San Francisco 49ers in London today.

With the loss the Jags wrap up the first half of this NFL season at 0-8. They have a bye week on their return from London and then go to Tennessee to start the second half. 

San Francisco jumped on the Jags early scoring touchdowns on their first four possessions. Colin Kaepernick led the way for the 'Niners with a copule rushing touchdowns and one passing to Vernon Davis.

The Jaguars finally scored their first touchdown of the season in a "home game" late in the third quarter when Chad Henne hit Mike Brown on a 29 yard score. It was the first career touchdown for Brown. 

On the afternoon, Maurice Jones-Drew with 75 yards on 19 carries and also caught 6 more for 47 , while Henne was 29 of 45 for 228 yards and a touchdown. The final score from Wembley Stadium, San Francisco 42 Jacksonville 10.
