LONDON, England -- Jaguars owner Shad Khan has big plans for EverBank Field and the Jaguars. He recently shared his hopes and dreams for his newly acquired soccer team, Fulham Football Club, with Action News Tera Barz.
Centuries-old Craven Cottage is home to the Fulham Football Club. Shad Khan has expansion plans in mind for the prime piece of property right along the Thames River.
"The city of London is giving us about 30 feet of the Thames river to extend which is right there called the Riverside Stand and that will give us seating for about 5,000 more fans," said Khan.
Khan wants to add an upscale, upper-level seating area -- bringing the stadium capacity to 37,000. He also has a vision of bringing an NFL game to the stadium.
"What would you think about an NFL game here? Right here? Wouldn't that be great? It would be an impossible ticket to get because people from the US would never have seen an NFL game like this."
Khan also wants to see more cross-pollination of his two football teams with a plan that could have the Fulham playing a game in Jacksonville, and the Jags playing a game at Craven Cottage.
"I think, yes it would be great and now we have to do it. When would that happen? I don't know. I think the next couple of years are lined up at Wembley but I think this would be a spectacular place - up close and personal right along the Thames River and I think it's very special," said Khan.
