Weak frontal boundary from W. Atlantic across NE Fl.....

A weak stalled frontal boundary extends from coastal Carolina to NE Fl. into the E. Gulf of Mexico.  Weak low pressure has formed along this boundary not far from Myrtle Beach but no tropical development is expected to occur.  Otherwise...scattered showers & storms will pop along this weakening front through the weekend.

A weak trough of low pressure is moving into the Bahamas with some convection but no development expected as the trough moves slowly west.

The rest of the Gulf & Caribbean are void of even much in the way of cloud cover.  In fact, notice the gray, "popcorn"-like look to clouds in the Central & Eastern Atlantic below.  Such imagery is indicative of stable mid & upper level air & generally is not conducive for tropical development.  So it looks like we'll stay quiet in the Atlantic Basin for some time.  However, conditions should change near the end of the month & particularly the first week or so of July.

Meanwhile.. the E. Pacific is percolating with activity with tropical development likely south of the Baja & west/southwest of the lower Mexican coast.  Early indications are that this development will remain over open water moving W/NW.
