"Barry" Moving Into Mexico.....

Tropical storm "Barry" is moving ashore on the coast Veracruz, Mexico well south of Texas. The storm will no quickly weaken as it continues to move west dumping very heavy rain as it decays. There will be no impact on the First Coast or any of Florida.

The rest of the Gulf & Caribbean are remarkably quiet & even clear of much in the way of cloud cover.  The large upper low north of Puerto Rico & east of the Bahamas combined with a tropical wave in the far NE Caribbean is causing disorganized showers & storms.  No development is expected, but the wave should enhance heavy rain potential for the south half of Fl. this weekend as the wave moves west/northwest into the Gulf.

A cluster of t'storms northeast of Jacksonville over the Western Atlantic is on the southern end of a cold front - no development expected though if the cluster persists, weak low pressure could eventually emerge.
