Stormy Gulf/NW Caribbean..... "Dalila" in the E. Pacific

The Eastern Gulf & Northwest Caribbean is stormy thanks to a messy combination of a northwest moving tropical wave & upper level trough.  No tropical development is likely.  A second tropical wave has moved into the Yucatan Peninsula & will move northwest which will take the wave over the far Western Gulf by late week.  A bit of slow development is possible upon re-emergence into the SW Gulf.

A piece of an upper level low in the Central Atlantic is forecast to "break off" & move west through early next week.  No surface -- or tropical -- development is shown by forecat models, but the trough could enhance rain as it moves across Fl. into the Gulf early next week.

In the E. Pacific, "Dalila" is off the coast of Central MexicoThough the center is expected to remain offshore, the storm is close enough to Mexico to produce gusty winds, heavy rain & dangerous surf.  "Dalila" will turn more west the next few days moving away from Mexico.
