JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Since late last week, our springlike temperatures have been testing the record books. On Sunday, Jacksonville topped out officially at 81 degrees, just one shy of the record set in 2005.
On Monday, the record maximum temperature goes back in history a bit more. In fact, the all-time high for January 14th is 81 degrees...set back in 1888! We have a real chance at setting or tying that number, although the First Alert Weather Team is forecasting just under that. It will be close.
With our average high at 64 degrees, we'll run above normal for the entire week. However, a late-week cold front will bring down temps a bit and introduce a few showers into the forecast.
