6 children, 2 adults homeless after child starts apartment fire
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A family of eight, including six children, is homeless after an apartment fire in Arlington.
Investigators say a child left alone at the University Townhomes started the fire on accident while playing with matches.
The father says he tried to put the flames out with a bucket of water but that didn't work.
Firefighters arrived just after 10:30 a.m. to put the second-floor fire out within minutes.
No one was hurt.
