JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Dense fog continues to be a traveler's nightmare during the morning rush this week. Visibility on Thursday morning dropped to less than a quarter mile at Jacksonville International Airport.
A dense fog advisory has been extended to noon along our coastline. The fog lingered at our beaches past noon on Wednesday as well.
The difference between our ocean temperature (57 degrees) and the unusually warm, moist air temps (77-80 degrees) is creating the fog.
Expect some patchy fog again Friday morning. The weekend overall looks quite nice if you like mild temps.
