JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Onshore east winds will bring bands of heavy showers and a few thunderstorms inland off the Atlantic through this evening. Rain will not last long with skies clearing quickly between showers. Skies overnight will be partly cloudy with only isolated lingering showers, especially near the coast. The weather will generally be drier the next couple days. Brisk onshore east winds will continue, so there will be a few showers near the coast in the morning then a few inland afternoon showers and storms but rain will be widely scattered with many places staying dry. The onshore flow will increase the rip current risk at area beaches but also keep temperatures a little lower with highs in the mid 80s at the coast to low 90s inland. Click ** here
