BALDWIN, Fla. -- A boil water advisory is in effect for the Town of Baldwin. This is the second such advisory in two weeks time.
The town reports residents should bring water that is meant for drinking and cooking to a rolling boil for one minute.
According to a town spokeswoman, CSX is adding rail lines, which requires water service to be briefly interrupted. That happened Thursday at 9:30 p.m. and lasted about 4 hours. Then the water is now being tested for bacteria. Test results typically take 3-4 days to come back. In the meantime, the advisory is in place.
She said the 1,400 residents of Baldwin should expect at least one more interruption in the next few weeks.
