Child and adult hospitalized after suffering burns in Hastings
HASTINGS, Fla. -- A child and adult were injured by fire in Hastings Friday afternoon, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
A 20-year-old man and a child showed up at the Hastings Fire Department on 7985 Morrison Road.
The fire department says both were transported to UF & Shands Hospital in Gainesville and are in stable condition.
According to Chuck Mulligan with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office the two were burning trash and somehow got injured. The investigation is continuing.
