Clouds, showers linger...cool air coming

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Our First Alert Weather Day on Wednesday has been active at times with a tornado watch in the early morning in Georgia and a severe thunderstorm near Jacksonville after that. The First Alert Weather Team continues to monitor scattered showers and thunderstorms that continue to develop in the warm, breezy air.
        Tonight, the front finally makes it to the First Coast...helping to quiet the intensity. Showers will linger overnight and early Thursday, especially from Jacksonville and areas south of the city.
        Temperatures will fall into the 40s and 50s Thursday morning. We'll see the coolest readings north and inland, the areas that will see the most clearing.
        Daytime highs will be much cooler for Valentine's Day with temps in the low to mid 60s. Temperatures will stay seasonably cool through Saturday before a stronger cold front takes us below average Sunday and Monday. There's a potential freeze inland on those days.
