BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- After witnessing her son being shot to death while walking in her neighborhood, Sherry West, is getting help from the community to move on from this tragedy.

Her apartment is filled with memories of her 13-month-old son Antonio Wherever she goes, she is reminded he is gone.

"My son never even got to say his first word and he was just learning to eat," said Sherry West, victim.

est says although she's glad the two suspects in the killing were arrested, she doesn't feel safe anymore.

"I'm too afraid to stay.  There's a lot of crime here.  I've heard from several people in this town about the crime and I can't believe that they could shoot a baby in the face," said West.

She's now packing her things and leaving the city she's called home for ten years.
According to West, the Society of St. Vincent DePaul is setting up a fund for people to donate money to help her with moving expenses.

"It's a great help to me because I'm not sure if I could lift these things," said West.

West will be moving back to her home town in South Jersey to be with her family. Although, it was not the type of homecoming she had hoped for.

"My family never got to see him.  He was the newest addition to the family and I was supposed to bring him in July for a visit," said West.

According to West, the fund will be up and running by Monday in the meantime she's asking the community for prayers.
