JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- After a weekend in the 80s, cooler air will move back into Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia Monday with highs from 70-75 degrees under partly to -- at times -- mostly cloudy skies. A fast-moving storm system will thicken clouds Monday night with a few showers arriving very late. Rain will become widespread -- and heavy at times -- Tuesday but diminish from west to east through the afternoon. Election Day will be very cool with highs only in the upper 50s to mid 60s. All areas will get at least some rain Tuesday with amounts averaging a half inch, locally up to 1" -- some much needed rain considering Jacksonville and most nearby areas have not had significant rain in at least 2 weeks.
