Cyclist in critical condition after collision with car
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A cyclist is in critical condition at UF & Shands hospital after colliding with a car on the Southside.
A report from the Florida Highway Patrol shows 49-year-old Joseph Straniti was trying to cross Atlantic Boulevard near University Boulevard around 11 p.m. Sunday when a car pulled out in front of him. According to FHP, that car was driven by 22-year-old Kendall Johnson.
Straniti suffered life-threatening injuries, according to FHP. Kendall was not hurt. Charges are pending.
