JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Temperatures are holding in the 50s today after our cold front. Some places are 35 degrees colder than Wednesday at the same time. Abundant cloud cover is keeping us from rebounding.
We received about a quarter of an inch at JIA with Thursday's rain. We can expect very little additional rain. The clouds will persist, however, for the rest of the day.
By Friday morning, it'll be even colder. Clearing skies overnight will allow temperatures to drop to near 40 degrees by Friday morning. Friday afternoon should be seasonal and nice, though, as the sun returns.
Yet another cold front plunges south on Saturday, keeping it cold and somewhat cloudy during the day. Wind chills into Sunday will reach the 20s!
A freeze is likely inland by Monday morning as the winds die down and temperatures drop below freezing.
