Deer killed by plane at St. Augustine Airport
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- No peope were hurt after a Florida Army National Guard plane hit a deer on the tarmac at St. Augustine Airport. It happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. Lt. Col. James Evans tells Action News two people were aboard a small C12 that had just landed and were turning a corner when a deer ran right into the plane. He said the plane suffered damage to the propeller and wheel well. The deer was killed in the collision. The collision is under investigation.
