SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Suwannee County deputies spent several hours Thursday hunting down an inmate that escaped from work release and stole a van from the Ichetucknee Springs State Park.

According to Suwannee County Sheriff Tony Cameron, Skylor Holland, an inmate from the Lancaster Work Camp, ditched the stolen van in a field and attempted to steal another vehicle.  When he couldn't, he took off on foot.

The Suwannee Correctional Institution in Live Oak sent out their K-9's to assist in the search.  They were able to find Holland three miles from the stolen can.

Holland was taken to the Suwannee County Jail where he was charged with Escape, Grand Theft and Burglary.

Holland was serving time at the Lancaster Work Camp for 2012 Grand Theft and Burglary charges from Bay County.
