JACKSONVILLE Fla.-- The main artery into the heart of our city has a junction malfunction.
The sign right above the Main Street Bridge directs you to the courthouse, but follow these directions and you'll end up at a vacant building.
The new courthouse is actually more than a mile in the other direction.
That's a big problem for probate attorney Gerald Stewart. Most of his clients come from out of town.
"Many times they're late to court because of that," he said.
Action News reached out to the Department of Transportation to find out why the sign hasn't been changed a year after the new courthouse opened.
Spokesperson Mike Goldman wouldn't go on camera but told me nobody brought it to the DOT's attention.
"We are now aware of the situation and we're working on getting it fixed," he said.
Goldman couldn't give Action News a time table. But he said when it does get fixed, it will only cost $1,000.
