JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Another Duval County educator is in hot water.
According to the district, an investigation into Holiday Hill Elementary School principal Denise Ahearn revealed she displayed "unprofessional and bizarre" behavior at the school on multiple occasions.
She's been with the district in various capacities for over three decades.
Now, the superintendent is recommending she is taken out of the school and re-assigned during Tuesday night's school board meeting.
Action News is digging deeper into Ahearn's past and found out this is something parents have been complaining to the district about for more than a year.
"The whole attitude. Such a poisonous attitude that she brought to that school," said grandmother Viera Eckhaus.
Eckhaus takes her granddaughter Veronica to Holiday Hill Elementary School daily. And she says ever since Denise Ahearn became principal last school year, she's had problems with her.
"Every time you went to see her about something she walked out through the back door. So you couldn't talk to her."
Eckhaus' complaints were sent to the Duval County School District back in February in a five-page letter.
And now Action News has learned the school district has a hefty stack of other complaints against Ahearn documented in an investigative report that Action News obtained.
"It's just clear that there was inappropriate approach with certain staff members as the report indicated bizarre behavior that again we just can't have that anywhere in our school district but especially at the school site," said Superintendent Nikolai Vitti.
According to the documents, a complainant says Ahearn would often straddle her legs around him while sitting. Other staff members reported she would carry around the book "Fifty Shades of Gray" and said to them, "If I keep reading this book, I'll be coming in here pinning someone against the wall."
And it's reported that she was once seen dancing sexually in front of students. Ahearn told investigators she was using the dancing to show "what we are trying to develop this year."
"My daughter was there when it happened," said Veronica's mother, Suzan Bryant.
Veronica's mom and grandmother are thankful that something was finally done and she's no longer interacting with the kids.
"That's really what these principals should be providing is what is right and what is wrong and her behavior was awful," she said. "Absolutely awful and that's not a role model for our children."
Action News did reach out to Dr. Ahearn for comment. Our inquiry was not returned.
During Tuesday night's board meeting, Vitti will also recommend termination for another Duval County teacher. Danielle Reed pleaded guilty to sleeping with a student from her school -- Atlantic Coast High. As part of her plea agreement, she received five years probation and has to hand over her teaching license.
