Elderly driver hits home
JACKSONVILLE, FLA. -- An elderly man accidentally drove into his neighbor's house today.
He was pulling out of his driveway when he backed into another car that was also pulling out of a driveway.
Police say he panicked and hit the gas instead of the brakes.
He plowed through a chain link fence and hit his neighbor's brick home. There's a small hole in the home.
The elderly driver has been taken to the hospital as a precaution. No one else was hurt.
Police briefly closed 26th Street between Pearce and Fairfax streets to clean up the wreckage.
