JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Department of Transportation says the Mathews Bridge will open on the night of Oct. 29.
The bridge will open to four lanes of traffic.
The bridge has been closed since September when a ship hit the bridge. No one was hurt in the collision.

The Coast Guard is investigating the cause of the crash.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said today the city made backup plans to use the Hart Bridge for Florida-Georgia traffic if the Mathews Bridge remained closed.JSO said traffic flow is going to be fine either way.
