GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- Five men are behind bars after an investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies was revealed in Green Cove Springs Thursday afternoon.

Action News was there when Homeland Security, U.S. Secret Service, ATF, IRS agents along with officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Clay County Sheriff's Office and Green Cove Springs Police Department raided three stores in a small strip mall on U.S. 17.

The V&J Food Store, Green Cove Wireless and More, and a laundromat are all owned by Abas Issa, 45, of Orange Park, and Yousef Issa, 41, of Fleming Island. The Issa men are two of five arrested for dealing in stolen property and other federal violations.

The investigation began in June 2011, when the Green Cove Springs Police Department requested assistance from the other agencies.

On Thursday, officers and agents removed dozens of boxes, bins and bags of evidence from the three stores. Action News photographers found some of those boxes included labels for rifles.

"It's a shock," said Dustin Creeks, a customer who visits the laundromat and convenience store a few times each week. "They've always been real friendly to you when you go in there. You'd never know anything like that happened."

Police have yet to release details about the investigation, but say the suspects purchased stolen items during undercover operations.

Also arrested Thursday were Antoun Arbaji, 35, Emad Abduljaber, 46, and George Salameh, 54, all of Jacksonville.
