Fire Marshal investigating bathroom arson

ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The Orange Park Fire Department is investigating a fire set inside a public restroom near a park Sunday morning.

Fire Chief Ty Silcox with the Orange Park Fire Department says trash cans were lit on fire inside a stand-alone public restroom facility at a park on the 1000 block of Fromhart Street around 8 a.m.

Chief Silcox says there was smoke damage and some of the paint on the wall was damaged as result of the arson.

Fire Marshals from the state and Orange Park are investigating.

Firefighters are asking anyone who may have information about who started the fire to call the Orange Park Police Department at (904) 264-5555.
