FOLKSTON, Ga. -- Firefighters from four counties responded to a fire at a local hotel Thursday night.
Officials said the Relax Inn on U.S. 1 caught fire about 7 p.m. Georgia crews from Charlton, Brantley, Camden counties and crews from Nassau County in Florida were all called in to knock it down.
Officials say no one was injured. About 12-15 rooms were damaged but no of the rooms were occupied at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown but officials believe it started in between the double ceiling which made it more difficult to extinguish.
A backhoe was brought in to assist the efforts.
