JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Officially, Jacksonville has seen less than an inch from this event so far. However...the First Alert Weather Center has been "flooded" with reports (recorded elsewhere) that measured in inches. And we're not done yet!

There's a steady stream of tropical moisture running from the Caribbean all the way north along the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S.
So additional rain (and additional inches) may occur over the next 2 days.

Yes, scattered showers and storms ARE in the Independence Day First Alert Forecast. However, the pattern change (more of an onshore flow) will steer the rain inland later in the day. 

The holiday weekend will be hotter with more limited storm coverage and longer periods of sun.
