House fire kills seven pets
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One person was sent to the hospital after a garage caught fire Friday evening.
Flames rip through a home on Sharon Terrace. The homeowner told fire investigators he was working with power tools in the garage. He went to a different part of the house and when he came back, the garage was on fire. A woman was taken to the hospital for precautionary tests. Seven pets were killed by the flames and smoke.
Crews put out the fire in about 15 minutes and it did not spread to nearby homes. The cause is under investigation.
