JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Reconnaissance aircraft found that the system still had a closed wind field around its center, which is one of the requirements for an organized/named tropical storm.

"Chantal" still has thunderstorms, still has some wind, still has the potential to add to the rain intensities over Florida this weekend.

Rain has been and continues to be in the First Alert Forecast for the rest of the week and over the weekend.

Look for partly sunny skies, scattered showers/thunderstorms, and locally heavy downpours.
