JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A JFRD fire engine did not slow down enough before causing a chain reaction crash Saturday evening on Beach Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Thomas Harmon, 45, was driving the fire engine when it struck the rear of a SUV on Beach Blvd. near Spring Glen Road.

The force of the crash forced the SUV into the back of another car, slightly injuring one person.
