JACKSONVILLE, Fla, -- Jacksonville Jaguars react to coach Mike Mularkey's youngest son being arrested for drugs.
Owner Shad Khan:
"Mike reached out to me this afternoon. I expressed to Mike that I share his concern for his son and the situation, and I let Mike know he has my personal support. It has no bearing on the respect and trust I have for Mike as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. We simply hope for the best for Mike and his family."
General Manager Gene Smith:
"Mike contacted me this afternoon, which I appreciated. This is a personal and private family matter, and we will be there to help Mike and his family in any way possible."
Head coach Mike Mularkey:
"I am grateful for the support that I've received from the Jaguars family and apologize for any distraction. We are attempting to learn more about the situation and I appreciate everyone's understanding that this is a private family matter, and therefore cannot add anything further at this time."
