Jordan Davis' dad on his way to DC
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Ron Davis invited Action News to join him while he was getting ready yesterday.
He said he is very pleased he gets to have a voice for his son.
"I feel his life wasn't in vain. That the public maybe will change their perception about the guns and the gun laws and if that can happen. Even though I miss my son at least it was positive as far as changing America.
He also said he feels this will be part of making history.
He will be meeting with local U.S. Representative Corrine Brown and The Brady Center. He was also given a special invitation to a congressional hearing on gun violence prevention.
