Local art students work to be seen by millions of Super Bowl viewers
ST. MARYS, GA -- Super Bowl 48 is expected to be one of the top ten most viewed events in broadcast television history. That's quite an audience for a local artist who helped build the animation that will kick-off the show.
Sara Saltonstall of St. Marys, GA is a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She is part of a class that designed the 20-second opening animation to the Super Bowl.
"It's definitely the biggest project I could imagine working on at this age. We're all looking forward to it," Saltonstall said of her classmates. "I know we put a lot of hours in so seeing it on TV is going to be amazing, and different from seeing it on our laptops."
Sarah says she and her classmates pulled a lot of all-nighters to get the project done. Her classmates will gather for a viewing party on Sunday.
